I live in Kansas City but I went to Milwaukee's Summerfest to see BRETT DENNEN. Consequently, I ended up enjoying John Mayer as well...(as oppose to the other way around!) Brett was AWESOME! What a talent!! Of my top ten favorite songs right now, 3 slots go to Brett Dennen! As I looked around the crowd at Milwaukee's Summerfest, I decided to the claim the title as Brett's #1 African-American fan!! :) And the DRUMMER in the band ... WHEW! The best I've seen in a while! Thanks for a great show!!

Was seeing a Mayer show last summer and found out that Brett was the opener. Did my research and found some of his songs and instantly fell in love with the sound. Brett Dennen moved me from the first moment i heard him. A DJ played couple of his songs on our small fullmoon party on the beach. I could not forget about it, and called up every DJ who was playing that night, till I found the one who immidatly knew what i was talking of... this dancing voice with guitar, was jumping over the whole dancefloor... When will you begin to sell your new tshirts online? I bought the blue one at the May 9th concert in Burlington Vermont and I want the yellow one too but could not buy it that night. My husband and I just took my father and step mohter to your concert at Higher Ground in Burlington. We had such an amazing time and my parents instantly fell in love with your music and spirit! They were going on and on about how you should play at Belly Up in Aspen, where they are from, so I came home and checked your tour schedule. Found a copy of 'So Much More' in Toronto over Christmas after hearing you on the radio in Mass.(WGBH if I recall). Very moving songs- and the way the words just trip off your tongue. You are an inspiration- 2nd best album of 2006 after 'Modern Times'. Like that album, your musical inspirations are somewhat visible (Dylan's'I WantYou', for instance and Simon cica 'Still Crazy' and 'Graceland')but you bring so much of yourself into the mix. To paraphrase A.R. Ammons, you have the wit to lessen the specific gravity of the weight of the world. This will sauve many a weary soul. Am looking forward to catching some shows as you head East. I first heard Brett when he performed in Seattle on the Mountain Music Lounge (103.7). I went out the next day to find the CD. Had to order it. It's been in my CD player ever since. The best new artist I've heard in years. Amazing lyrics and guitar. The most unique and awesome voice. I bought tickets to the Seattle show in March and I'm excited to see Brett live.
